Found a new blog

Just a short note to post this link that I just found.  It's an awesome blog that has a list of all the stitching blogs.

Big Blog of Stitching Blogs

Mine was already listed there.  Now, how cool is that!!!

Since I'm already posting, I'll show you my recent stitching finishes.

I just received the April chart, so can begin on that one.  These are designs by Tonia Pappan at OakHaven Designs yahoo group.  This free SAL is open to all members as long as we sign up by the end of January.
I like stitching these since they are small and a great way for me to get back into my stitching after dealing with the shakiness from my new meds.  I still have a "little" shakiness, but not enough to prevent me from stitching.
Thanks for visiting and "see" ya soon.

Couple of finishes

My shakiness from the new meds is finally lessening so I can stitch again. Thank heaven. I stitched on 2 SAL projects. Thanks to everyone for your comments and words of encouragement. The depression isn't as bad now, so guess the meds are helping that (and I'm very grateful).
First is the January square from the OakHaven Designs SAL. Now I'm ready to stitch the February square. I'm stitching mine as individual ornament squares and not on one large piece of fabric. I did this on 14ct green Aida and used DMC threads.
The next piece is from the SanManville Halloween SAL. It's a members only design that is not available anymore. Now I'm ready to stitch the 2nd chart. Haven't decided yet if I'm going to make it into a flatfold, cube or tuck. I stitched this on 14ct dyed fabric from Sapphire Sitching. It's one of the colors in her fall collection. I loved working on this fabric.
Well, that's all for now. I'm going to get busy stitching again. Thanks for visiting my blog and for comments you leave. I so enjoy reading & appreciate all your comments..

Charms, Depression & Inauguration Day

What a title for today's post, but wanted to let ya'll know before beginning to read this that I'm covering a variety of topics today.
I finally took a picture of my new charms, so thought I'd share with you.  I bought all these for $8.40 (including shippping) from ACharmingPlace during their recent great sale.  Many were only 5 cents each and the most expensive one I purchased was the pair of eyeglasses for 28 cents.  They offer great prices all the time, but couldn't pass up the fantastic sale.  I'm really looking forward to adding these to my stitching projects.
My stitching has really suffered lately because I'm just too shakey from new medication my doctor put me on.  Certainly hope this passes ASAP.  The meds are really important since I've gotten back into my depression pit.  Haven't had it this bad for the last 10 years, and believe me, I sure don't want to experience it now.  It's a struggle just to get up every day.  I stay in my pjs most days and don't go out.  Good thing I had some meals in the freezer or I'd just be eating peanut butter sandwiches all the time.  I haven't done laundry in a month, but it's getting to the point where I won't have anything left to wear that is clean.  Staying in my pjs has allowed me to go this long without doing laundry.  Well, sorry for dumping on everyone, but just needed to vent some.  I'm trying to hang on to the thought that "this too shall pass" - but it's not easy to believe right now.
Tomorrow is Inauguration Day and I can finally cheer that a new, fresh face will be in the White House.   I wish our new President much success during his term and hope he is able to bring about the improvements our country so desperately needs.
Thanks for visiting my blog and I hope everyone is having a much better day than I am having.  ;D

1st Finish for 2009

Here's my 1st finish for 2009.  It's a charity square for Q4OC to be used in a religious themed quilt.  Believe me, it was a labor of love to stitch this as I'm in a real down spot right now.  Doc has given me some new meds to help and they make me groggy until I get used to them.  As they say - this too shall pass.  ;-)

I got my order of charms from A Charming Place.  They recently had a great sale and I bought over 50 charms for about $8 (including shipping).  Don't have a pic of them yet, so will have to do that.

I found a great online site to work jigsaw puzzles and love it.  They have a new puzzle each day.  If interested, you can check it out here - JigZone.  Have also been playing my computer solitaire game that I got from here - GoodSol.

I am trying to find a good website for putting my stitching wish list pics on.  I had them at Flickr, but I no longer receive the premium service for free and now will only have limited space available in their free account.  I moved all my pics to Fotki and then found out that I've been receiving their premium service for a trial offer which is now going to be changed to their free service with very limited space available.  I already have a Webshots account, but am getting rather tired of all their advertising.  Also have a PhotoBucket account that I use for my blinkie storage and don't really care for that site overall.  If anyone has any suggestions for a good FREE site where I could put a dozen or so albums with a total of hundreds of pics, please let me know.  I may just have to bite the bullet and actually 'pay' for a premium service.  LOL

Edit: I just found out that Snapfish allows unlimited storage for photos, so will be moving all my wish list pics there.  That will be a day long job since I want (NEED - lol) so many designs.

Well, that's it for now.  Gotta try to get something productive done today - or at least try anyway.  Thanks for reading my ramblings and have a great day!
