I've now got blinkies on my site - thanks to the help of Elaine. It really wasn't all that difficult to do once someone gave me instructions. :D Now to browse through all the blinkie sites to see if I can find any stitching blinkies. If anyone knows of any, drop me a comment. Thanks in advance!

This is my Balloon Kirby Koala for Q4OC. The squares are being donated to Cole's Quilts in Australia. This little guy was a fun design to stitch. Now I'm starting on another square for Q4OC - a Forever Friends Teddy Bear.

This is my recent finish - a square for Q4OC's quilt for Anne. The quilt theme is dogs, cats & horses. So I chose this pattern (Cat, Tulips & Quilt) from the book "more Country Cats" by Dale Burdett. There was lots of backstitching, but it added so much to the design, that it really was fun to do. Best part was there were no fractional stitches - yippee! Now I'm onto stitching squares with September 1st deadlines.

I've finally finished my Hot Cocoa Sampler. I used DMC light effects thread for the snowflakes & stars. The snowflakes show up somewhat in the pic, but the stars don't really show up. I've washed and ironed the piece, now just have to find a frame. I really enjoyed doing this SAL with Greg and Glenda. His piece is also done and I kinda like the darker color fabric he used. The thread colors stand out more on his than on the light brown fabric I used. Oh well, live and learn. To take a look at Greg's piece, and his new WIP of an Indian Chief, check out his blog at ShyGuyRamblings. I'm pretty sure Glenda has hers finished also, so check out her work at GlendasBlog and her 10 project challenge she has begun.

I'm still not finished but that's because I've been doing some frogging and restitching. Some colors just didn't show up all that well on the light brown fabric (especially the white), so I've been adding backstitching and changing colors. The pattern calls for some star stitches and snowflakes to be done in white, but I think I'm going to try using the light effects threads to give the piece a little sparkle. Hopefully, those threads will also show up better than the white does. Since this piece is for me, I might as well play around with it some and get a little pattern changing experience in the process.

I'm taking a short break from the charity stitching to do a SAL with Greg. It's the Hot Cocoa Sampler by designer Casey Buonaugurio. Just began work on it July 1st and I'm nearly finished. This is going in my kitchen. The design calls for stitching on 28 count fabric, but I'm stitching this on 14 count lambswool instead. Just am not wild about stitching over 2 threads.
