I've completed the last squares of the fat animals theme for WOCS - Roderick Rhinocerous and Sharon Sheep. Brian Bee is the gift card to go along with the quilt. It feels great to have all the squares done and ready to be made into a quilt. Now I can move on to the other charity squares I need to finish by May 1st.

I took a short break from charity stitching for the past couple of days to stitch this project for myself. It's "No Soliciting" by Designs by Lisa. The fabric I used is 14 ct aida yorkshire parchment. I did this as a SAL with my online pal, Greg and it's my first 2007 finish of a 'personal' project. I plan to finish it into a hanging and put it in my front window. It's too nice to hang outside on the door and suffer from the weather. I don't have a storm door - one of the drawbacks of apartment living.

Here's my recent fat animal finishes. They are Clarissa Cow and Casper the Dog. I've now gotten seven completed of the nine I need for the WOCS quilt. I am currently working on a rhino and have a sheep yet to stitch.

I've been working on squares for a "fat animals" theme quilt for WOCS. I've finished 5 of the 9 squares needed so far. I'm using the Heritage Stitchcraft Squircles patterns. Here's pics of Duncan Duck, Olive Owl, Penelope Parrot, Percival Penguin and Rodney Robin. I think this will be such a fun quilt and great for an elderly person who is young at heart. :-)
